Currently, Charter air Direct has arranged charter flights with Freedom II Bermuda between San Juan Puerto Rico and Anguilla. We will announce additional routes in the future.
What is the Luggage Policy?
Each passenger flying with Charter Air Direct can bring 1 carry-on bag and 1 personal item free of charge (such as a purse, laptop bag or item of similar size that will fit underneath the seat in front of you).

What Are The Planes Like?
We only fly Embraer 170 planes
The Embraer 170 is often used to transport passengers to seminars, sports events, or special operations.
Here are some highlights
- Capacity: The Charter Air Direct planes have been configured with 64 seats, providing additional legroom for passengers.
- Performance: Max cruise speed of 542 knots, service ceiling of 41,000 ft, and range of 2,150 nautical miles
- Engines: Two General Electric CF34-8E engines with 14,200 pounds of thrust each
- Cabin: Spacious cabin with larger windows and wider seats than most jets
- Wingspan: 76 ft 3 in
Will I need to go through immigration when I land in Anguilla?
Yes.
Typically the process only takes 15 to 20 minutes and is located in the terminal.
There is a $28 immigration fee that will need to be paid when leaving Anguilla.
Will I Need a Passport?
Yes.
Each passenger will need a passport to travel between Puerto Rico and Anguilla.
How Long is The Flight?
The flight is typically 30 minutes.
What Food Will be Served on the Flight?
French Bubbly and water will be served.
US Flights to San Juan (SJU)
After you arrive at SJU (whether you check a bag or just have carry-on luggage)
You will:
- Follow the signs to baggage claim where you will collect your luggage
from your originating flight’s appropriate carousel. - From there you will proceed to the elevators to the Ticketing level. The elevators are located by either Carousel 1 or Carousel 6
- Once you are at the ticketing level you will go to the Charter Air Direct
ticket counter, which is located between the Delta and Southwest ticket
counters in Terminal B - Charter Air Direct will have a display “Check In” banner at the beginning
of our ticket line. We also have 2 monitors with “Charter Air Direct” to
recognize our ticket counter
**At any time, you need assistance any of the Help information desks will direct you to our ticket counter**
You are now at the CAD ticket counter:
- You will check in, get your boarding pass (TSA precheck will be noted if
your number is listed in the reservation), check any checked luggage.
You can proceed to the TSA standard screening line or TSA precheck line:
- After clearing Security, check the departure monitor for Anguilla on
Charter Air Direct to find the gate.
Our departure has been on the “D” concourse, with gate assignment
made that day.
Once boarding is called:
- The gate agent will escort passengers outside to the plane where you
will walk up a ramp to board the aircraft.
Anguilla Flights to San Juan (SJU)
When you arrive in SJU
You will:
- Be escorted from the plane to Customs and Immigration. This is about
a 10-minute walk. - If you checked any luggage look at the monitors to verify what carousel
your luggage will arrive at. - Take your luggage and proceed to customs.
You will choose the correct customs line depending on if you have
Global Entry, Clear, US Citizen or Foreign Citizen. - You will then continue to customs if you have anything to declare.
After immigration and customs:
- You will either take an elevator to the ticketing level or continue through
baggage claim to take the elevators that are located by Carousel 1 or
Carousel 6.
You can then proceed to the ticket counter for your next flight to recheck your
luggage or if you already have a mobile boarding pass and only carry-on
luggage you can continue to your correct security line (TSA precheck or
standard screening)
